Chronic Muscle Pain

When fascia tissue is wound as tight as a rope, it becomes chronic. Through the process of unwinding and breaking up scar tissue adhesions, the body is allowed to go from a state of protection to a state of freedom. Your movement begins to be trusted and the body is restored to its optimal state.

Sciatic Pain

Excessive scar tissue, fascial restrictions and tension in the gluteal and hamstring muscles can create pressure on the sciatic nerve. This creates shooting pain down the hips and legs. Imagine your relief when you experience fascia unwinding so the sciatic nerve can breathe again!

Frozen Shoulder

Move from from stiffness to flexibility. The scarring, thickening, and shrinkage of the shoulder capsule limits the movement of the rotator cuff. Think of what it would be like to finally receive the freedom of movement through reducing scar tissue adhesions that reduce blood flow. Return to the activities you enjoy, and you will be throwing fastballs!

Herniated Disc

What does it take to get discs back into their proper position? When discs are compressed from excessive muscle tension, they will bulge. By unwinding the fascia and creating length in the tissue, we release the pressure around the discs allowing them to breathe and potentially move back into alignment.

Knee Pain

Are your knees as tight as a drum? Are they weak or in pain when you walk?

To restore pain free movement, it’s critical to lengthen the fascia around the calves, hamstrings, quadriceps & shin muscles. SomaFlow creates space in the joint so the leg can move freely again!

Migraine Headache

Regular SomaFlow sessions which unwind the tissue around the shoulders, base of the skull, neck and jaw, increases blood flow to the the head and disrupt the migraine patterns.

TMJ Disorder

The muscles of the TMJ (temporomandibular joint) control chewing. Dysfunction or malalignment can affect the neck, shoulders, face, jaw and teeth. Unwinding the tissue in this critical area can reduce pain around the joint and the mandible can reset it to its proper position. Clients experience greater movement and comfort when speaking and chewing.

Somatic Emotional Release

The body can hold emotional trauma in the tissue. By unwinding the fascia, the client can finally feel and release the feelings that were trapped in the tissue, experiencing a sensation of lightness and purity once the trauma has been released.

Foot & Hand Neuropathy

If the nerve endings in the feet and hands aren’t getting a proper supply of oxygen, you may experience numbness and tingling sensations in these areas. Massage is an excellent method to bring much needed blood circulation to these areas and ‘feed’ the nerves.

Plantar Fasciitis

Clients experience plantar fasciitis when the band of tissue that runs across the bottom of the foot becomes inflamed. The terrible pain in the heel or the arch of the foot needs support to be released. SomaFlow therapy unwinds the plantar fascia .and increases blood circulation. When the blood is finally flowing again to an area that’s been starved of nourishment, healing can truly happen!

Groin Injuries

It’s not uncommon for active people to injure the adductor muscle, which leads to inelastic clusters of scar tissue. When clients experience SomaFlow and the unwinding of collagen bundles, those jabbing pains vanish and they are able to move more freely again!

Tendonitis

Repetitive motions like jogging or swinging a tennis racket can create painful inflammation in the tendons around the joint. Massage can relieve the pain by relaxing and stretching the surrounding muscles, increase blood flow and encourage healthy collagen in and around the problem area.
